Tooth decay is a chronic disease linked to other chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes and is a most preventable disease by not leaving food on teeth. Dentists prevent over 80% of cavities by placing costly sealants over chewing surfaces to block food being trapped inside pit and fissure developmental faults
Question 3A: Are there any further priority areas to add? Please provide further details: 
Tooth Decay which has been increasing since 1999. Almost all cavities occur from acid demineralisation that exceeds remineralisation where food is trapped between teeth and inside pits and fissures on chewing surfaces where brushing cannot reach.
Question 4: Is there anything missing from Road Map 3? Please provide further details: 
A need to improve tooth care advice to reduce acid demineralisation increase saliva and fluoride remineraliation. by removing trapped food from between teeth after eating so saliva has easy access to dilute any carbohydrate like sugar, neutralise acid and aid remineralisation. Also to provide easy access for fluoride between teeth when brushing. Also to chew sugar free sealant foods before meals or snacks to block acid forming food being trapped which will reduce acid demineralisation. Chewing fibre like celery after eating forces saliva into trapped food to dilute fermentable carbohydrate, neutralise acid and aid remineralisation.
