Specific comments: 

We disagree with the use of cervical dislocation by a sharp blow to the base of the skull as an acceptable form of humane killing. Experimental protocols should not be approved by ethics committees if anaesthesia may impact on the results, because the highest priority should be protecting animals from pain and suffering.
