Q1. Is the draft Statement presented and written in a manner that is easy to understand?: 

The HGSA endorses these two documents drafted by the NHMRC regarding Direct to consumer genetic testing. We do not have any specific comments regarding the content of the documents apart from we wondered if the matter of health practitioners referring on maybe made more explicit (page 4). Despite significant efforts to educate health professionals genetic literacy remains somewhat problematic therefore if unsure, health professionals should be encouraged to seek expert advice.

The HGSA endorses these two documents drafted by the NHMRC regarding Direct to consumer genetic testing.
