Thank you for the opportunity to review and comment on the draft fact sheets as part of the ADWG rolling revision.

Officers from our Public and Environmental Health Service are responsible for the legislative regulation of drinking water in Tasmania and as such, I have taken advice from them regarding the contents of the draft fact sheet.

THe use of the ADWGs by Water Corporations managing drinking water in Tasmania is mandated through Guidelines issued under our Public Health Act 1997. I am pleased to note that the proposed fromework for managing boil water advisories is consistent with the current approach in Tasmania.

Tasmania fully supports the contents of the draft Fact Sheet.

I would also suggest that the fact sheet would benefit from the inclusion of examples of signage for use in towns that are affected by boil water advisories, to encourage national consistenty over time.

I would also like to thank the NHMRC on its rolling revision of the ADWG and high quality of work that continues to be produced by them.
