Overall the guidelines are excellent, so congratulations.   However, your support for the consumption of red meat is irresponsible, in that, there are now more than eight studies showing a link between red meat and certain cancers, and while you have covered some of these, there exist ample alternatives to obtain protein, iron and zinc from alternative sources.

It would appear that you have been influenced by the need to protect the meat and livestock industry.  You would be aware that none of those persons living in the Blue Zones of longevity eat red meat.   It is not sufficient to just say "limit your intake of red meat"  but to exclude it completely from the new guidelines.
