The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is Australia's peak body for the provision of advice on standards to improve individual and public health, the consideration of ethical issues in health and medicine, and fostering medical research in the interest of improving health standards for all Australians.

It is NHMRC policy that all publications are assessed for currency and relevance at least at 5-yearly intervals. The following six (6) publications now need to be assessed.

You are invited to make a submission to the NHMRC about the currency and relevance of any of the above publications. Submissions should address the following issues:

  • the strengths and weaknesses of the existing publication;
  • issues that have emerged since the publication of the document; and
  • any other issues that you think are relevant to this assessment.

Your submission should be evidence-based and references, where appropriate, should be provided.

Following assessment, some of these publications may be withdrawn.
